Although I would prefer to not pit them against each other anymore. It's been more than 2 years since they competed in Idol, and they have very different musical styles and audiences, so can't be compared (just like Anthony and Casey).

Initially I was a bigger Guy fan than a Shannon fan and voted for him to win Idol (not as excessively as i did for Casey though :P ) but after hearing Shannon's latest songs - Shine and Lift, i've become a bigger fan of Shannon so i'd have to say that im now more of a Shannon fan! I still love Guy though :D

Yes I would have to agree with you. I didnt really enjoy any of his music, but I really like Shine....

LOL well while idol was on in 2003 i was a GUY fan but after its over im a fan of both GUY and SHANNON but the thing is i have all of GUY's albums but none of SHANNON's album so yeh...dat explains everything lols.

And it's funny cos I'm not saying it isn't right cos Shannon is losing, I'm saying it isn't right because I think this poll shouldn't be here at all. <_< They are two very different people who just happened to be in the same competetion 3 years ago - they should not be compared for any reason! It annoys me quite frankly and I don't like reading it, because it reminds me that there are people out there who are STILL doing it. I think it should stop :(

But I guess this poll isn't so bad cos it's simply a question of personal opinion I suppose, not who is better than the other.

So I go for Shannon of course, how could I not. I have all respect for both of them and I would never ever bag out Guy - he's just not my style. I love Shannon to pieces.

They are both great, but I ultimately prefer Shannon...for obvious reasons...lol

It's a just a bit of fun and a good way to see how many of each artists fans we have on board is all.

I love Guy's music ... Although i really like Lift! (Did you guys know that that song was meant to be for the winner of 05 idol - but shannon wanted it and got changed a few lyrics - so he co-wrote it i guess can you imagine Kate singing that i dont think so ... hehehe)

I think Shannon is a easy to get along with - more approachable then Guy

But i voted Guy - mum would kill me if i didnt hehehe

you serious Jade? omg since I know it as Shannon's song I couldn't imagine it as an Idol single, but that's amazing. To think if it was.... wow that's so weird.

I just can't picture anyone else singing it, but then again that's all of Shannon's songs for me.

So they wrote it for Idol, but Shannon liked it and changed it abit so it became a co-write and now he's releasing it. hmmm interesting bit of trivia.

Imagine if he co-wrote it and then changed his mind at the last minute so it WAS the Idol single - haha Idol single co-written by Shannon, now that would be interesting
