Title: Marcia Hines
Description: humbled by Member of the Order of Austra

Rhonda - January 31, 2009 09:02 PM (GMT)
MARCIA Hines says she's still a work in progress, but being appointed a Member of the Order of Australia is great recognition of her achievements so far.

The singer, performer and Australian Idol judge has been entertaining Australians since she first arrived in the country in 1970 from the US.

Hines was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2007, but said this latest honour for her service to the entertainment industry was one she never expected.

"I'm very, very proud," Hines said.

"My career is still a work in progress as hopefully I am too.

"This is an acknowledgement that I never ever dreamed of getting."

Hines, who will spend Australia Day at a barbecue with friends, said she wished her mother Esme was still alive to help her celebrate the honour.

"This is one of those times where I really, really miss my mother, because I think she'd be very, very proud of me," she said.

The 55-year-old diva is planning to release a self help-style book and an album of new material this year, as well as continuing to mentor young singers on Australian Idol.

Hines said while she was new to being a Member of the Order of Australia, she's pretty confident having the AM on the end of her name wouldn't give her any extra authority over fellow Idol judges Ian 'Dicko' Dickson and Kyle Sandilands.

"As if," she laughed.

This patch is the beginning of the Cataclymic events that will rock Azeroth to its core and fundamentally change the world as players know it. Check out Garrett's thoughts about the patch and then add your comments below World of Warcraft power leveling.

So right now, it looks like the new Patch is here for the holiday weekend and players will be able to check out the new zones and explore the destruction that has occurred. The Tauren Chieftan has died, Thrall has left, and dark times lay ahead for the Horde and the Alliance. Players will have to wait another two weeks for Goblin and Worgen to begin their new characters, but the other class combinations are going to be available now. I guess it is time to make the Orc Mage I always dreamed of world of warcraft power leveling.
