Title: Baby Idol invites Jonas wannabes

TEENAGER Tom Williams is wasting no time after being eliminated from Australian Idol, canvassing for young singers to join him in a Jonas Brothers style band.

The 16-year-old from Adelaide, who was voted off the Network Ten singing TV show last night, said today he was keen to start up an Australian group similar to the US pop sensations.

"They (The Jonas Brothers) are really big in America, so I think it will be kind of cool to have one of those kinds of bands in Australia,'' Williams said.

"Just something that the teenagers can connect to.''

"It could be really big.

"If anyone's interested send me a message on MySpace.''

Williams says he also wants to follow in the footsteps of Australian Idol alumni like Dean Geyer and Dan O'Connor and join the Network Ten soapie Neighbours.

"I've done acting classes ... I really love Neighbours so that'd be lots of fun,'' he said.

The youngster of the bunch, Williams said he had a feeling he would be voted off last night after reading his star sign yesterday.

He said the highlight of his time on the show was his final performance singing Aerosmith's Don't Wanna Miss A Thing.

"I think it was the best performance I have done, and it might have just been because there was nothing to play for,'' he said.

"I think I was overthinking every performance I did except for that one.''

A popular contestant with teenage girls, Williams is blown away by his new found fame.

"I don't know if I'll ever be the same again, I'm sure it won't be,'' he said.

He hopes New South Wales shearer Luke Dickens wins but tipped Bondi boy Wes Carr to take the crown.

"Luke was amazing - he was like my big brother and looked after me in the house,'' he said.

On being the baby of the group, he said: "You feel like the little brother, but they're awesome people and treated me well''.

According to betting agencies, Teale Jakubenko is the favourite to be ousted next week.
