It’s always been a dream to be a rock star. After my motorbike crash in 06’ it became 100% clear that I had to chase my dream.

What is your favourite song? Please tell us why you love that particular song.
My favourite song is ‘Black’ by Pearl Jam.

Which previous finalist do you find most inspiring and why?
I find Bobby Flynn the most inspiring because he did everything ‘Bobby’ style. He was unafraid to break the mould.

Describe your feelings at your first audition.
I was nervous as hell during my first audition. I was totally unprepared.

Obviously, it’s important to have a strong voice, but what other aspects give a performer ‘star quality’? Please explain your answer.
I think the ultimate quality for a star is charisma, depth of integrity and emotion.

What would you call your debut single?
The Beginning.

Why do you think Australian Idol is an important part of our local music industry?
Idol is a brilliant opportunity to get artists exposed and to teach young people how to text for a good cause.

Which artist (dead or alive) would you most like to perform a duet with and why?
I would love to perform with Eddie Vedder. I love his voice, his emotion and his music.

What’s the best thing about being on Australian Idol?
The best thing about Idol is having the opportunity to express myself to an entire nation.

Who is your favourite judge and why?
My favourite judge is Kyle. I love his honesty and dry humour.

Please complete this sentence: The one thing I want Australia to know about me is…
Things in my past have shaped the way I am.

What’s the best piece of advice someone has given you?
Be myself.
