Former Idol contestant joins show

Former Australian Idol contestant and bonafide pop star Ricki-Lee Coulter will join this year's hosting ranks of the show that kickstarted her career.

The sixth series of the Channel Ten show will see Coulter supporting hosts Andrew G and James Mathison in their quest to find the next Australian singing superstar.

Throughout the Idol tour around the country, Coulter will be on hand to give contestants tips and valuable advice and once the show hits the studio phase of the competition, she will be giving viewers backstage access during the Monday night Live Verdict program.

Coulter said she was thrilled to be returning to Idol.

“I'm also excited and honoured to be mentoring these amazing up-coming stars, many of whom will contribute to keeping the Australian music industry thriving, whether they win or not!” she said.

“I want to be a constant support, and a constant reminder to these guys that you don't need to win in order to be a success in this competition.”

Ricki-Lee is doing a great job , she has such a bubbley personality :)
