Barossa Idol Spotlight

The Australian Idol circus picked Barossa Valley Estates winery as the sight for its latest sideshow on Tuesday.
Close to 50 contestants who made it through an initial audition descended on the Marananga winery yesterday.

Some were looking for their chance to become the next big hit while others, including Haylee Corrigan, from Lewiston, just wanted to grab their 15 minutes of fame.

“This is my fourth time around,” Haylee said. “I’ve had a different costume each year and this time I’m dressing up as a Christina Aguilera sailor girl and singing Candy Man.

“I’ve been on TV before and that’s all I want this time - a bit of fame.”
