MAY 19 - Disney rocker Jeremy Shum burst into tears as he "just" missed out on a place in Australian Idol. THE EXECUTIVE producer of Australian Idol, Greg Benness, commented that Jeremy "had the look", "had the speaking voice", but needed more lessons to sing on-pitch, in consideration that the starlet had a mere two weeks of professional singing lessons before the audition.

The self-described "real thing: bad boy" however, vowed that he would "cherish and relish" that moment; and aged 19, in 2009, would see his return. In keeping in contract with breaking through before the "retirement age of 20", he vowed to develop in in songwriting, in dance, and bringing the 182cm'ed star's weight down to between 61.3kg and 66.2kg.
