Statement from Shannon Noll

THIS is the statement released by Shannon Noll's publicist this afternoon in response to our story about his drunken performance at the CMC Rocks the Snowys Festival.

“It is with great regret that I acknowledge, by my actions during my performance on Saturday night, that I have disappointed my fans, the organisers of CMC Rocks The Snowys, and my band.

"I apologise unreservedly.

"As a result I am taking the necessary steps to ensure that it never happens again.

"There is nothing more important to me than performing live, and I have always prided myself on giving 100% percent to my fans. Last Saturday night I let everybody down and I am sincerely sorry.

"When I begin my national tour in June I look forward to proving to the Australian public why they have been justified in supporting me over the last 4 years.”

- SHANNON NOLL.

There was a song, it was 'Goodbye my lover' and it said, in the first line:

Did I disappoint you? Or let you down?

There's a slight difference in meaning between these two, but it's really impossible for me to get, even after reading so many threads.

How can I translate it?

Ti ho deluso? O ti ho buttata giù?
It sounds really bad anyway, and I truly can't think of something better.

HELP!
