Three Idols part ways with their record labels in America

The McPheever has subsided at RCA.

The record label announced yesterday that they had parted ways with Katharine McPhee, the “American Idol” Season 5 runner-up.

Katharine released just one album, a self-titled effort, in late 2007.

She is the latest “Idol” in a series of weeks to part ways with their imprint.

Season 2 winner Ruben Studdard has also left his imprint, J-Records, after three albums.

Season 5 winner Taylor Hicks also parted ways with RCA, it was announced earlier this week.
