| Ricki-Lee goes global Sally Browne December 08, 2007 11:00pm FORMER Australian Idol star and Gold Coast singer Ricki-Lee Coulter has signed two overseas record deals - with Ministry of Sound and Pony Canyon. The runner-up in 2004's Australian Idol, has signed a deal with UK-based label Ministry of Sound and Japanese label Pony Canyon. Her second album, Brand New Day, will be released across Europe by Ministry of Sound, which is the world's biggest dance music label. Coulter, 22, said she was "over the moon". "All my little dreams that I had when I was a little kid are coming true," she said from her acreage home in Mudgeeraba, where she lives with husband Jamie Babbington. "It's really an incredible start to what's going to be a huge year in 2008." Coulter is signed to Australian independent label Shock. Her singles Can't Touch It and Love Is All Around have been top five ARIA hits. The Ministry of Sound deal was struck after a representative of the label heard Can't Touch It on the radio and approached her management. Coulter will support Hilary Duff at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on January 31.
