HE'S already an affirmed super star, so Darren Hayes was looking a tad out of place among the final six Australian Idol wannabes yesterday.


After his acclaimed concert at the State Theatre on Wednesday night, the former Savage Garden frontman popped into the show's Moore Park studios to give the up-and-coming singers a few tips ahead of tonight's charity music extravaganza Doin' It For the Kids.

The Rogue Traders, Katie Noonan, The Young Divas, Damien Leight and Vanessa Amorosi will also belt out tunes for Channel 10 special.

Shannon Noll will take to the stage with his country crooning bros Adam and Damian.
