NOW signed to SonyBMG, it won't be long before we have another Idol on commercial radio.

Runner-up Emily Williams is working on her debut single (and writing songs for the album to follow), which is expected to be released early in the new year.

In Adelaide last night to perform at the Beechwood Homes Carols in Campbelltown, Emily says she has enjoyed a bit of a break before having to start on her single.

"It was nice to go home and see my family," she says.

"I had known about the contract for a while, though.

Sony had called me up and basically said to me 'we're not letting another label get you'. So it has been pretty exciting."

Turns out Emily actually knows Paradise Community Church's music director Paul Zeia from way back (he used to be her pastor at a church in New Zealand), so couldn't turn down the opportunity to help him out with last night's big event.

"I remember being about 11 or 12, and he was the first person to ever put me up on a stage and tell me to sing," she says.

Well We Are Overjoyed at Our Emily Forum, But I am a bit Disturbed by Some members On the Anthony Callea/Kate DeAraugo Forums Claiming they have got into touch somehow with Sony/BMG and that this Article is Fake. I Really Really Hope This is Not the Case. I guess we'll have to wait & see.
