Island Idol hopefuls face next challenge tonight
Fans of Victoria's Liam Chang hope the song he sang last week on Canadian Idol is prophetic.
The 17-year-old student at St. Andrew's High School wowed the judges with his punk version of This Magic Moment -- a performance that lifted him into this week's round of the popular television program.
"I've got to say Liam, you just made that moment magic," said Sass Jordan, one of Idol's three judges. "Honestly, the best performance of the night."
The only other Island competitor left in the contest, Port McNeill's Clifton Murray, was not so successful. His rendition of I'll Be, a hit for Edwin McCain, relegated him to the bottom four in the competition.
