Newest American Idol Starts Work On Her Debut

New Jordin Sparks album may be out by Thanksgiving...

Jordin Sparks, the 17-year old who won the most recent season of "American Idol" has announced that she is hard at work on her debut album. Sparks was hush hush on most details as she spoke during rehearsals for the upcoming "Idol" tour, which kicks off this weekend. She did reveal that one track has been completed with production team Stargate.

Sparks hopes her debut album will be a mix of the hard edged pop rock of fellow Idol Kelly Clarkson and the R&B style of Beyonce. She also does not look to do any of the CD's songwriting.

Sparks also spoke about the upcoming tour, saying it would be slightly different than previous "Idol" shows. As far as the rumor that a now available Clarkson may be joining the young group on some shows, Sparks says they're only rumors so far.
