Harding's a maze-ing proposal
May 23, 2007
FRANKSTON Australian Idol-er Lee Harding has scored the touchdown of a lifetime proposing to his girlfriend of six years, Nicole Hansen, on Sunday.
The Wasabi singer had planned to pop the question while sky-diving, but had to do some quick thinking when bad weather kept the high-school sweethearts on the ground.
Harding then took Hansen to the Mornington Peninsula's Ashcombe Maze and, along with his sister Danielle, brother-in-law Andrew and a maze employee, held up a 10m banner asking those four magic words, "Will you marry me?"
Of course, she said yes.
No word on a wedding date, but Harding is busy writing his second album.
Middle of the road support
WOULD-be Idoler Nathaniel Willemse had a nice surprise from an idol of his own last weekend.
Willemse was busy entertaining the Chapel St troops during his regular Sunday arvo gig at Frost Bites when a heckler popped his head out the window of a cab.
Only thing was the heckler was Guy Sebastian, who was stuck in heavy traffic.
Apparently, Sebastian gave Willemse a big thumbs up, before disappearing down the road.
De Vito remix
AND in other Australian Idol news, big-voiced Cosima De Vito has made a comeback of sorts.
De Vito's new single, Keep It Natural, entered the dance charts this week, albeit at No. 31.
DJ Alex Taylor added the beats to the remixed version.
