SINGER Casey Donovan became an Australian idol all over again yesterday when she went back to school to tell kids how a healthy diet and exercise have saved her life.
She was this week able to run for the first time since she started training with ironman Guy Leech and she encouraged kids at her old school to follow her example to fight obesity.
Donovan, who has shed 15cm from her waist and dropped two dress sizes since she embarked on her kilo-killing mission six weeks ago, delighted Bass Hill Primary kids with a rendition of her song Stay.
"It's the first time I've jogged since I was a kid and it feels fantastic - deciding to get fit has saved my life,'' Donovan told reporter Luke Layfield.
"I just hope my journey can inspire other people to take their health seriously - to get moving and to eat the right things.''
