Krystal Forscutt - Biography
Krystal Forscutt - reality star and pin up girl

Since bursting onto our TV last year on Big Brother, Krystal Forscutt has become an in-demand cover girl for Australia’s leading men’s magazines.

Krystal is no stranger to a national audience. The Big Brother 6 housemate was one of the most popular of the 2006 series after entering the compound with her mum Karen.

Krystal was then snapped up by Zoo Weekly Magazine to join their team post Big Brother and has been appearing as a regular columnist in the magazine, the face of their TV campaigns and as a Zoo Weekly covergirl since, not to mention being voted runner up of FHM’s ‘Sexiest Aussie Babes’ list in 2007. And her appeal is going international, with appearances in lads’ mags in the US and UK to boot.

But the gorgeous Krystal is looking forward to a new challenge – could chart- topping success be next for this glamour girl? “I absolutely love to sing,” she enthuses. “I can remember singing and dancing at the age of six.”

Aside from a fear of heavy metal music, Krystal is very excited by the challenge of turning her shower singing into something that can be enjoyed by the audience. “I thought I was ok – I mean I’m not completely tone deaf so that’s a start – and I love to sing. But singing in the shower and in front of a national audience are two completely different things.”

And at the end of the day, whether she succeeds in reaching those new high notes, Krystal is happy to be doing some good for those less fortunate. “At the end of the day it’s for charity, so I’m going to try and do my best.”

Krystal supports the Youth Off The Streets, a NSW based charity established by Father Chris Reilly that helps to turn around the lives of homeless and drug addicted young Australians. “I just feel that there are so many young people who have a lot of potential to do really great things; they just need someone to believe in them and give them a chance.”

Troy Cassar-Daley - Biography
Country singer

Troy Cassar-Daley first visited Australia's premiere country music festival at Tamworth as an eleven year old boy. He was so overwhelmed by the experience that he was back a year later busking in the streets. So began his career in music.

By sixteen Troy’s band, Little Eagle, was touring NSW, and while still a teenager Troy made the Top 10 in Tamworth’s Star Maker quest and in 1986 won the Search For A Star competition.

Following this success Troy toured the outback for seven months, where he began to develop and hone his songwriting skills. Returning to his home town Grafton, Troy replaced James Blundell as lead singer in country group The Blue Heeler Band.

In 1994 Troy’s debut EP 'Dream Out Loud' was released through Sony Music. The title track raced to the Number 1 position on the country charts and in January 1995 his debut album 'Beyond the Dancing' was released to wide critical acclaim.

Troy went on to win the prestigious 1995 ARIA Award for ‘Best Country Record’, then at the 1996 Country Music Awards in Tamworth, he won the ‘Best Male Vocal’ Award.

January 1997 saw the release of 'True Believer' to rave reviews. Then at the 1998 Australian Country Music Awards at Tamworth in January, Troy scooped the pool with three Golden Guitars – Best Male Vocal for his single Little Things, Album of the Year for True Believer and Best Video for Little Things. He has since added a second CMAA Entertainer of the Year Award and two Mo Awards to his ever-growing collection.

Troy’s fifth album Big River, released in 1999, saw him win Best Male Vocal and Song Of The Year for They Don’t Make ‘Em Like That Anymore at the 2000 CMAA Awards.

In 2003 Troy performed at the Opening of the Rugby World Cup and in 2005 Troy released his 6th album, Brighter Day which received 4 star reviews across the board. It features guest backing vocals by luminaries such as Kasey Chambers and Jimmy Barnes.

In January 2006 Troy's Brighter Day won four Golden Guitars for Troy at the Australian Country Music Awards. The awards included Best Male Vocalist and Instrumental of the Year.

Troy then toured the USA with Tommy Emmanuel where he received standing ovations from enthusiastic audiences everywhere. He followed that up by taking out 2 Deadly – the prestigious Indigenous achievement awards – Artist of the Year and Single of the Year. Late last year Troy was awarded Entertainer of the Year by the Country Music Association of Australia – the forth time he has received this ward in the event’s 10 year history and the ACE Award for Best Male Country Performer.

He is currently writing for a new recording and will be releasing a collection of material mid 2007 before touring the new album around Australia during the second half of the year.
