Bobby Morley - Biography
Bobby Morley - Home and Away actor

Bobby Morley admits to dabbling with the guitar, but whether his vocal cords are as finely tuned is yet to be seen.

The laidback, friendly and cheeky Bobby – known to most Australians for his role as rebellious teenager Drew Curtis on Home and Away – can’t wait to rock it out on the It Takes Two stage.

He admits he does have a lot to live up to by following in the footsteps of Home and Away cast-mates Kate Ritchie and Mark Furze, who competed well in the first series.

While at high school, Bobby was involved in acting but after graduating he opted for a different field and began a geological engineering degree at university. But just six months into the degree, the passionate thespian decided to pursue acting as a career and changed to a degree in creative arts. He started doing extra classes, secured himself an agent and worked hard at moving his career forward.

Roles on the stage (Falling To Perfect, Tale From Vienna Woods), in short films (The Couple) and features (Dead Harvest) followed, until a part in the new Australian play Angels With Dirty Faces bought about a meeting with Home and Away’s casting agents. When the chance to audition for the role of Drew came up, Bobby jumped at the chance to join Australia’s favourite TV drama.

Relocating from Melbourne to Sydney for the role, Bobby has learnt the ropes on the ground in his first television role. Bobby’s commitment to his craft has been rewarded and he was nominated for Most Popular New Talent at this year’s Logie awards.

Outside of acting, Bobby loves the challenge of rock climbing, dabbles at playing the guitar and loves catching a soccer or footy match - he still follows his beloved Collingwood Magpies.

Bobby is supporting the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre - a resource for cancer patients in the provision of integrated treatment, research and education.

Jade Macrae - Biography
Soul Singer

Born of professional Kiwi musicians living in the UK, Jade has been surrounded by music, stars, studios and stages all her life.

Her parents, pianist David and vocalist Joy played with all the big names of the time: Elton John, Van Morrison, Neil Sedaka, Roy Orbison, Cliff Richard, Cat Stevens, Tina Turner, Ronnie Scott...the list is long and remarkable. Even Jade’s nanny in those early years in London was drawn from the musical world – singer Sam Brown.

Jade began learning piano at age three, then violin at eight. It was only natural then that Jade would gravitate to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music to do her HSC. Like any struggling student Jade paid her way through school by working nights and weekends, although not packing shelves or waiting tables. Instead she sang with whoever needed a vocalist! Apart from singing her own songs in a band with Mahalia Barnes, there were pub gigs with Renee Geyer, session work with Disco Montego and tours with Jimmy Barnes to help make ends meet.

It was while singing with Jimmy Barnes that Jade’s incredible talent was noticed by bass player – and managing director of Workstation Records – Michael Hegerty. Together they worked on her debut album. Notable for a debut artist, Jade wrote most of the tracks on the album and co-wrote the remainder, proving herself not only an accomplished performer but a gifted songwriter as well. The stunning tracks lead to major label interest, with Roadshow Music cementing the deal in mid 2004.

Jade performed the National Anthem at Australia’s World Cup qualifying victory against Uruguay in front of 80,000 fans at Sydney’s Telstra Stadium, and over 35 million viewers worldwide. She has also performed on Centre Court for the Australian Open Women’s Tennis Final before a worldwide TV audience.

A rising star in the Australian music scene, Jade’s debut album has been nominated for ARIA, MTV, APRA & Urban Music Awards in 2005/2006. Jade’s soulful sound and honest lyrics resonate strongly with listeners, offering a role model of substance to young Australians.

Let’s see if Jade can bring her touch of Superstar to her It Takes Two partner’s singing.
