The incredible journey for singer/songwriter Damien Leith began when he auditioned for Australian Idol in May 2006. He went on to be crowned Idol only 6 months later. In a matter of months he had platinum sales with his album Winners Journey and is preparing for the release of his debut album. Night of My Life follows Damien from the moment he was announced as the 2006 Idol and, with his guitar under his arm, his path to superstardom.

Night of My Life features exclusive behind the scenes footage of the Idol Grand Final which has never been seen before. The tears and emotion when Damien is announced winner are overwhelming. Then the camera’s follow him and Jess Mauboy through the after party and on to the next day's press, TV and radio commitments – the life of a star started immediately.

Night of My Life follows Damien into the next week of his journey - making his video, flying to meet the press around the country (where he gets his pants off with Hamish and Andy).

The Idol crew fly back to Ireland with Damien where he meets all his family and old mates (including much Guinness) and the punters in the local Milltown pub who supported him on the show. We travel to Dublin with him where he has a romantic day with his wife Eileen, then we're there when he gets his big break by appearing on Ireland's number one TV show The Late Late Show (which launched the career of U2). Damien also takes us into the recording studio where the audience will get a special insight into the work and commitment he has put into his debut album.

Night of My Life will also catch up with Idol darling Jessica Mauboy on her triumphant return to Darwin. Idol, favourites Dean Geyer, Bobby Flynn, Chris Murphy and Lisa Mitchell will also feature with an exclusive first listen to a sample of Dean’s debut single. Paulini will fill us in on what the Young Divas have been up to and how they are enjoying their incredible success - and go behind the scenes of their latest clip.

I watched this it was great to see the roller coaster ride Damien has experienced since his win. The Irish section was lovely and Damien showed some of his old haunts and places he performed. Great catch up stuff on Jessica, Dean and Bobby as well! :)
