Jennifer Hudson who placed in the Top 10 of American Idol 3 (won by Fantasis Barrimo) has won the Best Supporting Actress Comedy/Musical Golden Globe for her role as Effie in the movie 'Dreamgirls'. This is loosely based on the creation of the musical act which became the Supremes and made Diana Ross a star!
One of Jennifer's best performances in American Idol 3 was ' The Circle of Life' from The Lion King.
Congratulations Jennifer this is the first time any Idol has won an acting award.
