King Kyle a horror show

WE know how well it ended for Newlyweds Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey, but radio schlock jock Kyle Sandilands and his fiance Tamara Jaber have recorded their engagement party as a pilot episode for their own reality TV series.

The desperate publicity-seeking platform has been given the humble working title of King Kyle and will follow the daily happenings of the happy couple, who celebrated their wedding plans with family and VIP friends at a $100,000-plus party at their Woolwich pile on Friday night on Sydney's north shore.
The annoying Australian Idol judge has shopped the TV show to his Channel 10 bosses, who are considering it, despite reportedly knocking back the ego-trip idea 18 months ago.

While Sandilands' manager Ryan Wellington declined to comment to Confidential yesterday, Channel 10 confirmed it was considering the fly-on-the-wall drama.

"Yes, we have a few cameras covering his very crazy life," a Ten spokeswoman said. "Who know's what it will lead to but it's certainly intriguing enough for us to have a look at it."

Considering the fact King Kyle proposed to his beloved while she was on the proverbial throne - screaming expletives at him from the loo - it will certainly have the censors watching.

Engagement party spies say both sides of the family were keen to mug up for the cameras to ensure their own 15-minutes of fame.

"They were all posing and preening and absolutely loved the cameras being there," the soiree source said.

One wonders if the celebrity guest list, which included former Bali jailbird, Michelle Leslie, calendar girl Bessie Bardot and rocker Natalie Bassingthwaighte will be paid for their cameo appearances at the party and in turn the series pilot.
