THE Condoblin Kid, Shannon Noll, has endorsed Alice Springs teenager Jessica Mauboy as the contestant most likely to go on and win this series of Australian Idol.

The most successful product of Idol since finishing runner-up to Guy Sebastian in the original series in 2003, Noll said yesterday the Northern Territory singer looked a future star.

``Jessica Mauboy I reckon is really good,'' Noll said.

``It will be interesting next week. I'm looking forward to seeing the singer/songwriter week.''

Noll said he wasn't surprised most of the contestants performed poorly in the show's Disco theme on Sunday night.

``I think the disco one was pretty hard, as it would have been for everybody,'' he said.

``I would have probably sang `It's Raining Men' or something,'' he laughed.
