Jess seemed a little apprehensive before the show, but the new Touchdown Queen didn’t need to worry – she seems to be building in confidence as the finals progress. It’s a measured performance but her rendition is missing the huge notes we’ve come to expect. “I had this sense that you were struggling,” says Mark and Jessica reveals that she’s been suffering from a sore throat. “Is that the ‘wow song’?” Kyle asks, not convinced by the choice. But Jess seems so relieved to get through a tough night that she handles Kyle’s criticisms with ease.

I wish they had of told us she was having so much trouble. She really did hold back with her singing.
It's funny....they tell when some are not well, yet don't tell when others are ill.
It's like they try to garner sympathy votes for some contestants and not for others.
