Coulter battles Guy for kids' vote



IT may be a relatively new addition to the Aussie awards calendar, but the Nickelodeon Awards, aimed at the kids, are building in profile.

Nominations were announced in Sydney yesterday, with Australian Idol contestant Ricki-Lee Coulter receiving the most with four.
The Young Divas, which Coulter is a member of, closely followed with three nominations.

Coulter will be up against mate Guy Sebastian for Fave Aussie Artist when the awards are held in Sydney on October 11.

"I presented this award to Guy last year, so it's extremely flattering to be nominated in this category," she said.

Nick Lachey, Natalie Bassingthwaighte and Lara Bingle were all at the launch.

Ricki's having a good year nomination wise with this and the UMAs :banana

She's the only solo female Idol who got noms for the Nicks, so that's amazing too! :praise

And I guess Jen if there is anyone who I dont mind taking an award from Guy it would be Ricki :P

I honestly don't think she will win the big one, Guy's fanbase is way bigger! But i'm the same, i want Ricki to win but if she had to lose to anyone i'd like it to be guy :lol:

of course im a huge guy fan lol. but if guy doesnt win, i surely hope ricki-lee does, shes just so gorgeous :)

We've been voting like mad for Ricki over at the lounge so who knows! Fingers crossed.

She's really loved by her audiences... So noticeable in the concerts. And she really really deserves it.

Marquise, on the US Idolforums, has a great thread in the International Idols area, and has given her a huge boost. She deserves everything..
