Complaints' about Idol star's boyfriend

Former Australian Idol star Paulini Curuenavuli has defended her rugby league boyfriend after her family contacted the St George Illawarra club to complain about his behaviour.

Ms Curuenavuli's family is concerned about her dating winger Wes Naiqama after the young star emerged with a bruise on her face.

"My girlfriend saw a bruise on my face and she freaked out," Ms Curuenavuli told Wednesday's Daily Telegraph.

Following the meeting with family, St George Illawarra chief executive Peter Doust is believed to have launched an investigation into the matter.

"The family did visit me today to discuss some personal issues," he told the paper.

"It's very hard to establish anything and I have no further comment."

Mr Naiqama, 23, is sidelined for the rest of the season with an ankle injury and is currently disqualified from driving.

Let's hope it's not what the family fear it is.

I heard some more on the radio this morning about it.
They really should be dealing with this more personally than going to the football club.
