Dan England to join Shannon Noll on tour

21 Year Old, Australian Idol 3 finalist, Dan England will join Shannon Noll on his Australian tour which kicks off in February 2006 as support act.

England will belt out some of his idol favourites and is also expected to showcase some new original material.

As soon as Dan cruised through the hectic audition process of Australian Idol, he left his old job at the service station behind.

I heard that Sony/BMG have also signed Dan England?

I think I read it somewhere but stuffed if I can remember where I read it now.
I hope so though, and I do think his accompanying Shannon on tour is going to do wonders for his profile. I cant wait to hear what he sings. I have never seen Shannon live so I will be making an effort to this time around as I want the chance to listen to Dan Live.
Damn Shame there is no idol tour. I recall last year I got a totally different opinion of some of last years idols when I heard them live. They sounded so much better.

lol...i think i heard it from someone on dan's forum who heard it from the (possibly crazy) person on lee's forum...so don't get too excited...you know what lee's fans are like :P ;)

I heard this rumour from someone who claims that they are "in the know" and from past info they have given me I tend to believe them.

It does make sense though because Dan will be touring with Shannon, a BIG drawcard for Sony Bmg, so I personally believe that it will be announced officially for sure that Dan E has signed with them sometime during this tour, perhaps closer to the end.

It is an excellent vehicle for Dan and gives him an opportunity to broaden his fanbase even more!

I always loved Dan throughout the whole series. He has a brilliant voice.

Remember though Dan will be signed regardless. Remember Kyle's promise to him? :)

I know I will buy any albums he makes and I am not what could be considered a "diehard" fan. *waiting to be punched* :unsure:

I would buy his albums for sure as I know he likes the same genre of music as I do so he would most likely record that style.

I grew up on the songs he sang in Idol and think his album would be amazing, we need more of that and less of the hip hop we have been inundated with in recent years.
Should be worth it regardless who signs him imho. :D

I found a tell tale sign that Sony/BMG will be signing Dan on.

I did a search for an "official" site for him and it seems that www.danengland.com.au has been reserved, through NetRegistry, who had also reserved Lee's and Kate's .com.au's for Sony Bmg.

I reckon it will only be a couple of weeks until it is announced that he has signed with them!
