Shannon in fast lane to film stardom June 10, 2006

SHANNON Noll looks set to drive his big black shiny car onto the big screen, with word a feature film in which he is tipped to star is revving up for production.
Titled King of the Mountain, the flick will be the first full-length feature film made about the Bathurst 1000 car race.
A stellar cast of Aussie talent -- including Peter Brock, Bryan Brown and Ben Mendelsohn -- are slated to appear alongside the former Idol singer, who is tipped to play a young local driver taking on the legends of the track.
Confidential understands financial backing for the film has been finalised, and once the cast and crew are signed, it's all systems go. Shooting will start at Bathurst early next year.
From the slogans such as "Against the Law, Against the Hood, Against the Odds," we get the feeling there might be a bit of fast race action, pit-lane skulduggery and dirty tricks.
