Principal for a day, what a Dan-dy idea for an Idol star

WHEN Palmwoods boy Dan England encountered stardom through his Australian Idol performances, the last thing to cross his mind was that he might be called on to portray a school principal for a day.
Or wear a tutu while playing Goldilocks in a Year 1 play at Burnside State School, for that matter.
But that’s showbusiness, and Dan revelled in both roles – simultaneously at one point – in his contribution to Education Queensland Principals for a Day celebration yesterday.
And it didn’t stop there. He visited classrooms, partook of a yoga class, staged a mock backstage interview, and joined a judging panel for Burnside Idol, the school’s version of the famous talent show.
