YOU can't turn on the TV or the radio without being bombarded by Australian Idol's Shannon Noll or the Young Divas. But what ever happened to series two winner Casey Donovan?

The 17-year-old, who won our hearts with her surprising maturity and big voice, slipped into obscurity almost before record stores began unpacking her debut album. Well the good news is Donovan will be coming to Brisbane in the near future – although perhaps not in the grand style we would have once expected.

The young singer will be performing at a Gala Blue dinner at Customs House on June 21 to raise money for Motor Neuron Disease. (Tickets $185, 3388 0859 or go to www.tailsandveils.com.au)

When The Courier-Mail requested an interview with the singer, the teen's management agreed only if the talk was limited strictly to the dinner.

Apparently something big is in the wind and they don't want to risk anything getting out prematurely.

I can't wait to see how that pans out.
