Grant Denyer - Biography

Grant Denyer is a man of many varied talents. The SUNRISE weatherman and roving reporter is an experienced motor racing driver and recently impressed the judges and a national audience with his stellar performance on DANCING WITH THE STARS.
Grant has been lucky enough to combine his love of motor racing with work. He broke into journalism at Prime TV in Wagga Wagga as a news reporter and in 1991, moved to Network Ten, where his racing experience secured him the role of a pit reporter on the V8 Supercar coverage.
At the start of 2003, Grant joined the Seven Network’s breakfast program SUNRISE as a weather presenter. Not one to shy away from adventure his role on SUNRISE has seen him set a world record for bungee jumping out of a helicopter on Bondi beach, tried out to be a rugby league cheerleader, travelled in the weather wagon around Australia for an entire year and was the first journalist to report from Innisfail.
Recently Grant Denyer surprised many with his dancing skills during the fourth series of DANCING WITH THE STARS, beating world boxing champ Kostya Tszyu in the semi final to become this season’s champion.
