Princes William and Harry argue over the remote and watched Pop Idol and X Factor, they revealed to Ant and Dec in a television interview.
The royals teased the Geordie presenters about their former lives as pop stars PJ and Duncan and also discussed their own cooking skills and music tastes. William thinks Harry's music is "pretty shocking", but also admitted they liked similar things.
The Prince of Wales joined his sons for the light-hearted chat to mark the 30th anniversary of The Prince's Trust. The interview with Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly will be shown on ITV1 as part of the celebrations on Saturday night which include a pop concert in the Tower of London.
The presenters quizzed the princes about their television habits.
William said when asked about whether he watched the same comedy programmes as his brother: "Yes, we tend to mostly. We like the same sort of things, although there is usually an argument over the remote control at home about who watches what - that usually goes on for quite a while."
Ant and Dec asked the three Princes about what other TV shows they like watching.
Pop Idol presenter Ant said: "So Harry you mentioned you watched the X Factor, did you watch Pop Idol as well, because I would say out of the two.".
Harry said pointing to William: "He won't admit to it but we did both watch it, especially the American Pop Idol."
The royal brothers admitted they had similar tastes in music.
But William added pointing at Harry: "I'd say his was pretty shocking but mine was very good. But apart from that we tend to like pretty much the same music
