Axle sets the record straightMay 22, 2006
TV music show host Axle Whitehead wants to step up from spinning music videos to where the real money is by starting his own record label.
The former country boy isn't shy about his intentions, he's in it for cash.
"I want to make as much money as I can then head back to the country," the 25-year-old said.
Whitehead currently has a company called Brother Fox Productions, set up with his brother, but hopes one day it will be Brother Fox Records.
The Video Hits host also sings in band The AWBs -- yep, named after the Australian Wheat Board.
"I am also meeting a lot of the record companies and can pick their brains. For a musician who isn't signed but able to speak to all the heads of a record company ... it's all at my fingertips," he said.
