SHANNON Noll has been dreaming of a big, black, shiny car for years - but he's had to sing for his wheels.
Yesterday he had saved up enough pennies to pick up an XR8 ute - and he was so stoked to meet his new machine he gave it a man hug.
"Yeah, I'm a Ford man," he said.
"I'll stick out like you know what where I'm from but - everyone drives Holdens."
While the rev head admitted he was heading straight out to get a set of mag wheels and a bigger exhaust he promised he wouldn't pump Shannon Noll hits from his stereo.
Noll heads to Beaconsfield today to sing a tribute for Larry Knight who died in the mine disaster. "I'm really looking forward to singing for him and having a beer with the other blokes," he said
