Will Wil or won't he
Shannon Noll is used to taking it up on the chin from critics who bag his music and Australian Idol association. Now he's willing to take it on the chin, literally to defend his late father's honour.
Noll will challenge Wil Anderson to a celebrity boxing match after the stand up comedian mocked noll's father's name during a recent performance
"He's been having a go at me for 12 or 18 months, and I don't mind that whatsoeer," Noll told me last week.
"I'm fair game, but I'm disgusted that he's had a go at a man who isn't here to defend himself."
Neil Noll died in an accident five years ago while working on the family farm with Shannon and another brother.
"It's something I don't think any of us will get over. The worst part is that mum is still doing it tough, and for this bloke to be saying stuff really hurts her."
Noll has pledged a couple of thousand dollars to the children's charity Ronald Mcdonald House and has support for the fight from his record company, Sonybmg, which has received several pledges
The only question is: will Anderson take up the challenge?
i heard about that on today tonight on thusrday there was a whole segment with shannon on it, i realy think that you should not say something like that about a loved one that has died especly shannons dad because of how sudden it was and what their family went through
Yes, it wasn't very nice of Wil to say something like that.
He's paid $2,000 to charity so that he doesn't have to fight Shannon, so at least something good came out of it.
