I dont why they havent done something like this before for some of the artists from idol. I have often thought that its such a waste of talent. This is brilliant.

I also find that new fans are won by doing this.

For example, I am really not a fan at all of Emilies voice. (just personal taste) However if I go to the concert to see Ricki then i might have the oportunity to hear Emily live and change my mind. There for she has won a new fan and i would buy her single.

So the idea is so good for so many reasons

I think the boys from this Idol should do something to. Dan, Lee, Daniel and Dan and even James. I think that Idea is great. And the Idols didn't tour this time so this should be good exposure for them.

i'm not sure if i would want the boys to do it...
i think it would be over doing the whole 'idol' thing...
but then again..
and publicity is great for any upcomign music artsist *wink* :)

Agreed Rhonda ;) We've already seen this happening, with hundreds of emily fans joining the Ricki-Lee forum and vica versa! I think all the girls careers will get a boost out of this! Ricki-Lee's sales of 'Breathe' have jumped back up in the last couple of weeks too because of the new fans buying it, its great!

I think she will benefit most from this. Out of all the girls, Ricki seems to be the one who wants to succeed, wants to stay in the industry.
